To celebrate World Environment Day, ECLOF Myanmar organized an environmental awareness program at Little Living Stone Orphanage in Let Pan Kone Village, Anesakan, Pyin Oo Lwin. The program aimed to help children understand the importance of protecting the environment and adopting environmentally friendly habits. Participants learned about environmental conservation and practical ways to care for the planet in their daily lives.

One of the main topics was the 5 Rs: Rethink, Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. The children learned how these simple actions can help reduce waste and protect natural resources. The sessions also covered the importance of proper waste separation and disposal.

Around 40 children and adolescents between the ages of 5 and 20 took part in the event. The program included interactive activities, group discussions, practical exercises, and knowledge-sharing sessions that made learning enjoyable and engaging. To encourage active participation, outstanding participants received awards for their enthusiasm and contribution to the activities.

This initiative reflects ECLOF Myanmar’s commitment to promoting environmental responsibility among young people and communities. By providing environmental education and practical knowledge, the program aimed to inspire children to become responsible stewards of the environment.

As environmental challenges continue to grow around the world, educating young people is an important step toward building a more sustainable future. Together, small actions can make a big difference for a greener and healthier world.
