Beat Dietschy

Beat Dietschy has been working in development affairs for over thirty years. His expertise covers especially development policy and issues linked with the ecumenical movement. He was General secretary of Bread for all, the Swiss Protestant churches’ development agency, from 2007 till 2015. Previously he served as Head of Education and Communication and Deputy General Secretary in Bread for all, was acting as President of the Swiss NGO Declaration of Berne and as director of a conference center. As a consultant of develoment projects and journalist he especially worked in Latin America. Mr Dietschy is a theologian, holds a PhD degree in political philosophy of the University of Basel and is author of publications on globalisation, indigenous movements and the philosophy of Ernst Bloch. After retirement he is serving on various boards of swiss development and peace institutions and as WCC Observer on the ECLOF International Board.
