Sep 15, 2017 – ECLOF seeks to actively manage the social performance that its network delivers and has therefore adopted the Universal Standards for Social Performance Management (USSPM). Issued by the Social Performance Task Force, the USSPM are a set of core management practices that constitute “strong” SPM. To evaluate its own practices against global practices and improve management systems over time, ECLOF International has been conducting social performance audits across its member institutions. The recent audit experience of ECLOF Myanmar is featured in the second edition of the official USSPM Implementation Guide by the Social Performance Task Force.

Issued by the Social Performance Task Force as a “one-stop” guide on practical SPM, it is the leading online resource on how to put the Universal Standards for Social Performance into action. The case study serves to illustrate the social audit process to other MFIs in the industry.

This is another example highlighting the active role ECLOF is taking in social performance management among the global microfinance networks.
