Leonel Roland

Leonel Roland brings extensive experience of the microfinance sector in Latin America along with deep knowledge of ECLOF. He is based in Montevideo, Uruguay. Between 1992 and 1995, he served as an Independent Advisor to the newly established ECLOF National Committee Uruguay. Later, he served with Oikocredit for over 19 years in various roles including Regional Director for the South American region. He also consulted on microfinance investments for Alterfin and Global Consulting Group Sweden. Leonel is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Diploma in Business Administration and Economics from Major University, Uruguay. He speaks Spanish, English and Portuguese.
