Social Performance Report: ECLOF Philippines
ECLOF is pleased to announce the publication of the second edition of its Social Performance Report, featuring ECLOF Sri Lanka, a small microfinance institution established in 1975. This report reflects ECLOF’s ongoing commitment to measuring and managing social and environmental performance. The report is also a key outcome of the recent SPI5 audit.
Operating through 6 branches, ECLOF Sri Lanka’s 39 staff serve around 5,000 clients across Northern, Southern, and North-Western parts of the country. Notably, 98% of clients are women, 80% reside in rural areas, and 35% of loans support smallholder agricultural activities.
During the SPI5 audit, clients and staff shared reflections that underscored ECLOF Sri Lanka’s impact. From stories of improved livelihoods through micro-loans to expressions of trust in the institution’s ethical practices, the voices captured in this process reaffirm ECLOF’s role as a catalyst for change.
The report presents key indicators across social outreach, client protection, customer experience, impact measurement, capacity building, and responsible human resource practices. These insights reflect ECLOF’s mission to deliver values-driven financial services that empower communities and promote sustainable development
