Eduard Walkers

Eduard Walkers lives in San José Costa Rica, and holds master’s in business economics. Until April 2024, Eduard served as the Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean at Oikocredit, bringing more than 25 years of experience in impact finance. He was responsible for an active loan portfolio of Euro 500 million, more than 300 partners (Financial Service Providers, cooperatives, & companies) and nearly Euro 1 billion in disbursements. He has served, and continues to serve, on several Board of Directors. He has participated in innovation projects, including biochar, digitalization of Trade Finance, tokenization, equity, thematic bonds, community-focused strategies for MFIs and housing. Since June 2024, Eduard has been active as consultant in TCIFLAC (Training & Coaching Impact Finance LAC), as Regional Consultant of ECLOF International and as co-founder of AlterWork.ai, an AI company developing AI tools for a wide range of industries.
