ECLOF International to host a workshop at the 17th Microcredit Summit in Merida, Mexico

08 August 2014 | ECLOF International was invited to host a workshop at the 17th Microcredit Summit.

One of the most renowned global events in the industry, this year’s Summit takes place in Merida, Mexico from September 3-5 and focuses on the theme Generation Next: Innovations in Microfinance. It gathers a wide array of practitioners, investors, government agencies and non-government organizations to explore the innovative solutions that can unlock endless possibilities for this new generation, their families, and their future.

The workshop organized by ECLOF International: “Reaching the Next Generation of Smallholder Farmers – Capacity Building & Value Chain Partnerships” will address the issue of rural exodus in Latin America and look at strategies to increase the attractiveness of the rural environment for the young. Speakers include María Victoria Aguirre, Managing Director of ECLOF Colombia, David Kone, Executive Director in Nicaragua for Opportunity International, ECLOF’s Regional Consultant for Latin America, Leonel Roland, and José Carlos Vandresen from Infocos/Cresol in Brazil.
