ECLOF Armenia participates in the MFC's 15th Annual Conference

ECLOF Armenia participated in the 15th Annual Conference of the MFC (Microfinance Centre)  that was held from May 28 to 30, 2012 in Tbilisi. The theme of this year’s conference was: “Business or Development? Time to choose”.

ECLOF Armenia has been a member of the MFC since 2006. The MFC operates in Poland, and has more than 100 member organizations all over the world.

The agenda of the MFC’s 15th Annual Conference was replete and very interesting. Indeed, the main challenges and issues facing microfinance were earnestly discussed and analyzed. ECLOF Armenia’s representatives were particularly active in the discussions and joined different working groups and sections in the event.

Moreover, the members of the delegation met with the leaders of international donor agencies, as well as consulting and software organizations, and representatives of MIX and other microfinance organizations.

Following the event, the delegation had the opportunity to visit two Georgian microfinance institutions: CONSTANTA BANK and CREDO MFI, in order to get acquainted with their operations and to meet their staff and visit their clients in and around Tbilisi.
