New Faces

Côte d’Ivoire
Paul-Wood Gnagne Agnero Paul-Wood Gnagne Agnero
is the new president of ECLOF Côte d’Ivoire. Paul-Wood is the founder and director of his own intermediate and small-business consultancy firm, as well as a socio-economic advisor to the government. He also heads the management committee of the Methodist Church of the Côte d’Ivoire, is the senior executive of the Communauté Financière Méthodiste (Methodist Financial Community), and represents his church on the ECLOF board.

Cameroon
Léodor Audigé ECLOF Cameroon has a new Executive Director. Léodor Audigé took up the post in January. Léodor has dual nationality–Haitian and French–and comes to ECLOF with a background in accountancy and computers. After working in France as a computer analyst and programmer, he joined the French Cooperation for assignment in Cameroon. Afterwards, in addition to co-founding and successfully managing a computer, photocopier and solar panels supply company, he became deeply involved in community support work. He is a former director of an institute that specialises in re-educating and re-integrating children with hearing deficiencies. He founded a school in Douala for deaf children, and assisted in opening schools for deaf children in other cities in the country. He helped in efforts to re-establish a rural hospital by re-organising its accounting and management procedures, and has done fundraising both nationally and abroad to finance several development projects. Léodor is a member of the Baptist Church in the capital, Yaoundé.

Philippines
Lauro (Larry) Chee Millan ECLOF Philippines has welcomed Lauro (Larry) Chee Millan as its new Executive Director. Larry has long been active in the life of the church at both local and national levels, and the ecumenical movement in general. He was born into a business environment and educated as a lawyer. Even before finishing his studies, Larry was already involved in community work including paralegal training, human rights education, popular housing and micro finance. He is also a part-time professor at a local women’s university. Coming from the private micro finance sector, Larry feels that one of the challenges he faces is to improve the repayment rate of ECLOF Philippines, as well as to branch out to be closer to clients.

Peru

He has served as treasurer for a church-related NGO, and worked with this group on its strategic planning. Pastor Limo has also co-ordinated a major programme of pastoral accompaniment for those living with AIDS and their families.
