In the 1970s, ECLOF started offering its first microfinance services and reached out to increasingly many countries.
Beyond its institutional loans to churches, ECLOF gave an increasing number of microloans to impoverished and vulnerable individuals and communities.
In line with the ideals of our founding fathers, ECLOF has always endeavoured to create partnerships of equals with our clients, teaching them, as the old saying goes, how to fish rather than handing the fish to them.
By financially supporting our clients to realize their projects and by training them in basic financial management, we aim at self-sustainability and at durably improving the lives of the families and communities we work with.
